India’s safety and compliance landscape changed significantly in 2025. If you are building or operating an entertainment or commercial facility, here is what you need to know.
National Building Code 2025 Updated Fire & Life Safety Standards.
The revised NBC 2025 Part 4 introduces new and stricter fire safety provisions across building categories, covering fire prevention, life safety, structural fire resistance, evacuation planning, and the use of modern fire protection technologies. It also introduces two-stage permit systems for high-rise and special buildings, and periodic renewal certificates for occupied buildings covering structural, fire, and electrical safety. Entertainment destinations, which fall under assembly occupancy classification, are among the most closely regulated categories.
Fire NOC is non-negotiable.
Fire NOC is mandatory for all commercial buildings, hotels, assembly occupancies, and residential buildings above 15 metres. Renewal is typically required annually. Penalties for non-compliance start at ₹10,000 and can exceed ₹5,00,000; buildings can also be sealed. Our fire safety installation services are designed specifically to achieve Fire NOC on the first inspection.
CCTV and surveillance regulations changed in 2025.
All IP and network CCTV cameras sold and installed in India from April 2025 must comply with STQC IoT System Certification requirements and carry BIS safety certification, mandatory for government projects since June 2024, and now extended to all commercial projects. Every surveillance system we install meets these updated requirements.
Compliant buildings perform better commercially.
Compliant buildings receive occupancy clearances 25% faster and attract 18% lower insurance premiums two direct commercial benefits that more than offset the cost of professional safety compliance installation services. Getting safety right from the start is the financially smart decision, not just the responsible one.
